FunctionAbility’s Janet Carioni Joins ABI Panel Discussion at Ottawa City Hall

On Sept 21st Janet Carioni of FunctionAbility joined Dr. Angela Colantonio, Suzanne McKenna to discuss innovative approaches to service provision that can help Individuals with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) that are in our prison populations.

The discussion highlighted what happens when a brain injured person is subjected our society’s understanding of crime, guilt and innocence, based on rules that were made with the idea that our brains are all functioning in the same way.
